Religious Emblems

Each Cub Scout pledges to do their Duty to God. Scouting America leaves it to the family to decide who their God is. One way the Cub Scout can show their Duty to God is to earn the religious emblem of their faith.  The religious emblems programs are programs of the respective religious denominations.  Most denominations have one or two age-appropriate emblems that a Cub Scout can earn.

As a Catholic-chartered unit, Pack 555 has several religious emblems coordinators who can assist Catholic Cub Scouts earn their emblems.  They can also provide information on how Cub Scouts of other denominations can earn their religious emblem.  In addition to the religious emblem (or medal) awarded by the religious denomination, BSA and Pack 555 provide the youth religious knot, which is the only knot that can be worn on the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Adult Leader uniform.
